Best laid plans of mice and men...

Hello Tin Roof Family, Friends, & Fans,

We have some new news. There are gorgeous female puppies that became available. You see sometimes, "Best laid plans of mice & men"... became a fact. Circumstances changed for some folks with reservations, and so these two ladies in the picture are available. We had a reservation coming tomorrow from out of state, and waiting for the pick of the three ladies that were available to choose from. Lucky for someone else, the plan fell through. I have one female waiting for a potential family that is considering submitting a reservation for her, and the other two girls are Ms. Green & Ms. Orange. These two puppies, pictured above, are both very nice girls. They both LOVE people, and are socialized with our adult dogs here at the ranch. We want our puppies to be the very best dog possible so we do a lot of various things with our pups to prepare them for the world you want to show them. Our program also puts a HUGE emphasis on the health testing of our breeding animals. We ensure that they are not affected by any genetic diseases that are commonly found in the ACD, and offer a lifetime gaurantee for any of these affect the dog in it's lifetime. A couple of these diseases affect the eye; either causes early onset blindness, or luxating lenses in the eye. The latter is painful for the dog, but any ailment their dog endures is painful for their human. We at Tin Roof ACDs want to protect our puppy owners from potential heartache or financial hardship due to something that could have been prevented. (Don't even get me started on the breeders that do not health test.) These two females are sweet and snuggly sometimes, and little tyranasaurus' other times. Ms. Orange is what I would consider high energy/ high drive. She is on her feet in a hot second when someone is around. She is full of spunk and vigor. She wants to be busy, and enjoys mental challenges also. Ms. Green is a little less interested in running a marathon (per se), but she is by no means a couch potato. She is close though. She is very fond of humans. The look on her cute little face when someone talks to her while they are holding her is priceless. She loves to cuddle and snuggle. She also doesn't want any problems with any of the other puppies. She is a sweetie that is hiding her tyranasaurus in her pocket for now. Either one of these females will make someone an excellent companion, sport dog, show dog, shotgun rider, or whatever your life entails.

Please go to our website if you would like more information on the Australian Cattle Dog. If you are not familiar with this breed, please do yourself a favor and research the breed. The ACD is not a "easy" breed. I personally would not recommend this breed for most people as their first time raising a puppy. If you are familiar with the breed then you understand the commitment the puppyhood takes for loads of enrichment, socializing, and lots of training, games, and fun. It truly is very similar to raising a newborn/infant child. You have to be prepared so you know what you have to do for a successful outcome. Same goes with a tiny baby puppy, you have to understand the breed of that pup, and what it is bred to do. It truly does matter. Dog breeds are not always just a pretty face. They have been fine tuned for decades or even centuries to do a job. That is why all breeds were created; because someone needed help with a job.

If you or a responsible friend wants more information on these puppies, please contact us. Text, call, or email. If you want to fill out the questionnaire this will speed things up a little.

The puppies are 8 weeks old and 2 days. It is important for them to bond with their owners if possible at this age. We will continue to love, and work with each puppy until they find their forever family. Thank you to all of you out there that love the Australian Cattle Dog. Thank you for understanding them. Thank you for appreciating all that we do to advocate for the ACD!

Get in touch!

Sincerely,

Jen (& Andy)
